The Crown Chakra is the seventh chakra of our energy centers, located at the top of the head. It is the seat of higher awareness, guiding us toward wisdom, inner peace, and cosmic understanding.
What is the Crown Chakra?
It is known as Sahasrara in Sanskrit and depicted as a thousand-petaled lotus, symbolizing the infinite nature of spiritual awakening. It resonates with the colors violet and white and is associated with cosmic energy and the musical note "B".
How to Balance your Crown Chakra
An imbalance (either under or overactive) of the Crown Chakra can manifest in feelings of spiritual disconnection, confusion of life's purpose, sense of isolation, difficulty grounding and feelings disconnected from reality. There are several ways to balance the Crown Chakra to unlock its full potential. Reignite or begin a meditation practice focusing on chanting the "Om" mantra as this closely resonates with the Crown Chakra. Consider modalities such as Reiki and sound baths. Reiki practitioners are able to assess the Crown Chakra for imbalances and make recommendations to maintain its integrity. Connect with the cosmos through star gazing. Yoga poses such as Rabbit pose, Lotus pose, and Headstands focus attention and energy at the Crown Chakra.
Using aromatherapy such as essential oils either by diffusing in your space or applying to your Crown Chakra can create flow. Frankincense, Palo Santo, Neroli, and Bergamot are all great choices for working with imbalance by centering your energy and emotions.
Archangel Metatron is strongly associated with transformation and the angelic realm. Calling upon him during meditation can offer guidance on your spiritual journey and help you to connect with divine consciousness.
Working with crystals can also help serve as a bridge between individual consciousness and the divine. Our favorite crystals to encourage spiritual enlightenment are Clear Quartz, Lemurian Quartz, Amethyst, Selenite, and Mica.
As you cultivate awareness of your Crown Chakra, remember that enlightenment is not a destination but a continuous unfolding of Universal truth, Love, and cosmic consciousness.
