Do you have a Leo in your life? Leo, the fifth sign of the zodiac, falls between July 23 and August 22. It is represented by a lion and ruled by the Sun. Known for their bold and fiery personalities, Leos are natural leaders who exude confidence and charisma. They are also known for their strong sense of self-expression and creativity. They are passionate, love to be in the spotlight, and are risk-takers. Leos are also fiercely loyal and protective of their loved ones. If you're experiencing feelings of hopelessness, nervousness, fear, anger, or insecurity, grounding or earthing may help balance and center your emotions. Intentionally moving your energetic field into a state of stability and strength can improve sleep quality, increase feelings of happiness, contentment, and optimism, and reduce stress. Grounding can also decrease cortisol levels which can positively affect your overall physical and emotional health. Here are some of our favorite ways to ground and center.
Meditation and Breathwork
Meditating even a short time each day (15 minutes or less) can cultivate an inner peace and a sense of awareness. Our favorite tool for guided meditations is the Insight Timer app. It's free, easy to use, and has a diverse variety of options. Breathwork is consciously altering your breathing pattern in a state of meditation to produce a positive physical, emotional, and energetic state.
Spending Time in Nature
The closest way to commune with Mother Earth and her natural rhythms is to spend time outside immersed in forests, trees, parks, or prairies. Activities such as hiking, swimming, gardening, and connecting to the ground in bare feet, can help you sync up with the Earth's heartbeat. Perform these activities with intentions for grounding and releasing of unwanted energy and give gratitude to Mother Earth for her unwavering support!
Essential Oils
We love to incorporate essential oils into our daily lives for grounding and centering. You can diffuse them in your space or apply them to pulse points or to the bottom of your feet. The most effective grounding oils are those derived from roots, rhizome or trees. For example Vetiver, Spikenard, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, and our own blend, Rooted.
Work with Crystals
Crystals can support and align you through the day. Our favorite grounding crystals are Black Tourmaline, Obsidian, Tiger Eye, Smoky Quartz, and Jasper. They will help to keep you protected and secure. Carry them in your pockets, wear as jewelry, or place in strategic spots in your space to balance and center their energy. Because of their protective nature, they will need to be cleansed often by smudging, Selenite, or sound vibrational instruments.
Root Chakra
Sometimes we're not grounded because our Root Chakra is out of balance. When it is out of alignment, too open or blocked, you may feel unmotivated, anxious, fearful, angry, insecure, stuck, or exhausted. When the energy isn't flowing properly, you'll likely feel disconnected from the earth or emotions of stubbornness and greed may creep in. Feelings of insecurity and shame often stem from childhood or ancestral trauma and these manifest in blockages at the Root Chakra. There are tools to remove these blockages. Sound Healing
Sound vibrational instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls and drums can help move blockages and unwanted energy. To amplify the experience, try placing your feet in a large singing bowl while it's being played. You can also use these instruments in your daily meditation practice.
Reiki and Biomat
Reiki energy healing sessions improve the flow of energy through our chakras and can improve our over health. As stagnant energy is released and a health flow of energy returns to your body, you become grounded and centered. The biomat uses a combination of infra-red rays and Amethyst to soothe all body systems and leave you feeling refreshed and at peace.

What is the Throat Chakra?
The Throat Chakra also known as Vishuddha in Sanskrit, plays a crucial role in our ability to communicate effectively, express ourselves authentically, and our ability to truly listen. The Throat Chakra is the fifth chakra in the body's energy system, located at the base of the throat which governs our communication, self-expression, and ability to speak our truth. It resonates with the color blue, the Ether or space element, it's associated with the G note, and the mantra Ham. The symbol is a descending triangle in the middle of a circle surrounded by sixteen petals of the lotus flower. When the Throat Chakra is balanced, we can articulate our thoughts clearly, listen attentively, and express ourselves with confidence.
How to Balance Your Throat Chakra
An imbalance in the Throat Chakra can manifest in various ways, such as difficulty expressing yourself, fear of speaking up, or feeling misunderstood. This can be caused by past trauma, societal influences and restrictions, past lives, or current living situations. Physical symptoms may include throat issues, neck pain, or thyroid problems. Or you may experience anxiety, low self-esteem, frustration, loss of control, stagnant, or feelings of depression.
There are several techniques to balance the Throat Chakra. Try incorporating Breathwork meditations and Reiki sessions into your self-care routine. Crystals we suggest to work with are Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, Aquamarine, and Blue Kyanite. Blue crystals work best! Something as simple as using your vocal cords such as chanting or singing can help remove blockages. Speaking up for yourself or others who are vulnerable can stimulate and restore energy to the Throat Chakra. Yoga poses such as Cat/Cow, Lion's Pose, Cobra, or Fish Pose circulate energy to the Throat Chakra. Lavender and Frankincense essential oils have a calming effect on the body and in turn can encourage personal expression. Use in a diffuser blend in your work space or wear on pulse points when in need of support. Working with Archangel Gabriel, the angel of communication and transformation, can help remove blockages and restore integrity to your Throat Chakra.

July's birthstone Ruby is considered one of the four precious stones, along with diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds. They emit a vibrant glow and have long been revered in jewelry making.
Rubies been used throughout history as amulets and talismans to protect and ward off negative energy. They were used by soldiers and warriors on the battlefield for courage and strength. It removes blockages related to fear and transmutes that energy into a higher vibration and frequency. When we function through a higher state we are authentic and in alignment with our true soul's purpose. We stand up for ourselves and for those who are vulnerable. These are true acts of courage and bravery.
Rubies can stabilize life force energy and balance the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra governs our safety and security. When it is blocked or out of balance we can experience feelings of hopelessness, disconnection, restlessness, procrastination, and insecurity. Rubies encourage a positive frame of mind, transmuting any intrusive negative thoughts. Wear Ruby jewelry or use a piece held on your Root Chakra during meditation.
Rubies can also ward off psychic attacks. Psychic attacks are low lying or negative energies directed into your energy field. It can be intentional or unintentional. They feed off our energy, draining our life force, and creating physical and emotional dysfunctions including headaches, anxiety, mood swings, insomnia, and poor digestive issues. They are disruptive and interfere with your daily living. Carry Ruby with you and keep it in your bedroom if you are experiencing a psychic attack.

Crystals
Our favorite crystals for cleansing and protection are Selenite and Black Tourmaline. Selenite (Satin Spar) brings in a positive, protective energy that promotes a peaceful space and is the ideal crystal for all types of energy clearing. It has the ability to clear, protect, and shield your energy body as well as clear the energy of your other crystals and home. Selenite quickly unblocks any stagnant or negative energy to create a smooth flow of positive energy. Placing Selenite sticks above the door jams in your home, especially the front door, cleanses the energy as it comes in and goes out.
Tourmaline is the most powerful protection crystal, carrying an extremely high-vibrational grounding energy. It absorbs negative and harmful energy, and it cleanses and removes energy blockages from your home. By creating an energetic shield around you, it defends your auric space. The combination of Selenite and Tourmaline builds a powerful shield of positive and protective energy, especially when you grid your home by placing a piece of each crystal in all four corners of the property or home.
Sound Vibrations
Placing wind chimes outside the home is said to be protective and to ward off low lying energies. Its whimsical, playful notes brighten up your space and are harmonious with sounds of nature.
Evil Eye & Hamsa
Using the Hamsa and evil eye symbol on windows or as a wall hanging will deflect any low lying energies and bring in an soothing atmosphere of peace.
Archangels
Calling on Archangel Michael for protection is another useful tool. Connecting with him is as easy as asking for his guidance and protection. Settle into a meditative state and request his presence, asking for a white light of high vibration to surround the home and for him to cut any energetic cords attached to the home which are no longer in alignment with the people living in it. Asking with gratitude increases the vibration of the request and resonates strongly across the ethers. Sacred Geometry
Sacred geometry can be a tool to use for protection as well. Metatron's Cube is well-known for its ability to heal, manifest, and protect. It can be used to build a crystal grid or as a decorative piece to invite in positive energy. Place it in the center of the home, bedroom, or in areas where televisions, computers, video games, and other devices are used.
Essential Oils
Diffusing essential oils in your space can remove stagnant energy and invite in optimism and peace. Some of our favorites are White Sage, Rosemary, Sweet Orange, and Bergamot.
Home Protection Grid
Before gridding your sacred space, be sure to do a thorough cleansing with Sage or Palo Santo. Once you have cleansed and placed your protection crystals throughout your home, find a central location where you can set your intention. Find yourself with a relaxed and focused energy, then visualize the crystals connected with an energetic white light, forming a powerful and protective energy shield around your home. Say an affirmation and give gratitude to your space for safety and protection. You should cleanse the crystals once a month or when you feel that the energy is heavier than it should be.

Ancient Lemuria of Atlantis was a highly advanced civilization renown for its spiritual enlightenment and wisdom where all lived as high vibrational beings in harmony.
